Helper EHR
HelperEHR is a subsidiary of NetSmart EHR. With over 20,000 practices it is a growing EHR solutions provider; with exceptional billing and scheduling performance. This EHR system offers great support for psychologists and psychiatrists. It is an easy to use software and offers ChartKeeper, a software which uses Microsoft Word as the embedded text editor giving you the functionality of MS Word for creating documents—including creating and importing templates, mail merges and other tools that your staff is accustomed to using.
With its remote access feature, ChartKeeper can securely retrieve and edit patient files from virtually anywhere. And by using HL7 messaging, ChartKeeper can also be integrated with your HL7 enabled practice management solution, as well as other systems in your office that interface using HL7 messaging.
With the combined use of high-speed scanning, document imaging technology, HL7 messaging, and database management in ChartKeeper software, you can now place your entire chart management and document handling systems onto a computer; effectively putting an end to the tedious and expensive task of maintaining paper medical records.

How Would You Rate this Software?
Efficient and beneficial but complex
Pros
The price is reasonable and customer service is helpful. The program is reliable overall and delivers what it promises.
Cons
The interface used to be a lot simpler before some new upgrades. It has become too complex to use now. Also needs to have support for device like phones and tablets.
Very robust practice management system
Pros
Have used this for 15 years and have never been disappointed. There were always great updates and smooth changes whenever required for my practice. Helper support is also remarkable!
Cons
The only complaint I have is that there is a printing issue. If you want to print a patient appointment, it prints all appointments. Same with printing insurance company details. It would print all insurance companies ever used. This feature definitely needs a filter.
Easy to use and does almost everything we need
Pros
We were able to collect a lot of claims because of features in the software. We have also entered new clients efficiently since switching from paper-based systems. There are many reporting options and its overall easy to use and serves all our needs.
Cons
It is web-based and not server-based. We are still sticking because we love the features but we hope the system can be move to the web for better mobile access.
Basic system, lacks of functionality!
Pros
A person who is not tech-savy can understand the system. Easy to use, but please more development required.
Cons
It is a basic system, lack of functionalities on the pediatric side, especially with the templates.
Not much features offered for cardiology!
Pros
It offers a very basic usability for my practice, I expected a specific to specialty workflow but did not offer me that.
Cons
Did not like the software at all, too many clicks required to navigate between windows, plus it has glitches.
General comments
I expected a bit more on the clinical part for my cardiology practice
Pros
The software has made the everyday work in our practice very fast and efficient. It is very user-friendly and easy to learn in the start.
Cons
There are some minor issues with the claims. The vendor should work on them to resolve the issues soon.
General comments
User-Friendly system but have little complications. Customer support is not supportive.
Pros
There is nothing I like about this product which could be written in Pros. Worst experience ever I used an EMR system.
Cons
Extremely disorganized, unprofessional and outdated software with a number of glitches and useless customer support.
Pros
The system is very robust and this company does a good job of staying ahead of the game regarding new and future law/regulation/requirement changes.
Cons
The medication section needs improvement. The documentation of data is time consuming which affects the ease of use.
Worst Company and Services
Pros
Spent more time dealing with IT than actually taking care of patients while using this EMR. Does not facilitate ease of patient care or ease of use for the physicians and staff.
Cons
Lots of missed time, lost revenue, and frustration caused by dealing with the "support" team and management.
General comments
The Customer support was a nightmare, and getting almost anything fixed or resolved took days (not hours.... days)
Too Much Expensive and unprofessional
Pros
The product may have been ok but we had such poor support from the vendor we had to get out after 6 months and it was very expensive.
Cons
Templates were not made available until 3 months into our use of the system, which means we wasted many hours trying to make templates rather than modify others.
Pros
It is easy to use and all the patients like it and seem to be able to communicate with us very simply.
Cons
The IT support isn't available 24 hours a day so it doesn't always get resolved when its needed only on business days.
