Practice Velocity Urgent Care EMR

It is an integrated system for urgent care practice. Now our clinical part and billing part are all covered.

We went with Practice Velocity and the whole transitioning from the previous EMR system was not smooth. They were not able to set us up on time, data is not fully extracted and uploaded in the system, plus staff needs more training.

Need to make their operations more smoother!

The system is pretty decent than the previous one which we had, it is easy to use, our staff members complete the clinical part easily, notes, charts documents, everything is available.

The only thing that I do not like is the system crashes very often. It needs to be shut down and then restarted again and all of the information is lost.

Overall, it is a good system.

I like nothing about this software, it crashes, it is clunky and it is full of glitches which makes my work extremely difficult.

I have used many EMR’s but by far this is the most difficult one to use. It is slow, it crashes down quite often and it is not specific to specialty. Too many unnecessary windows in the clinical part, not built for a fast paced practice.

Would not recommend this software!

Comparatively from our previous system, it is user friendly. The best feature that I like about the software is storing data and patient’s information. I like the scanning feature, as we can scan in information and it appears in the system.

The system slows down and very often we have face downtime in the middle of the work. When it crashes, all the information is lost and it needs be rebooted. Sometimes even after rebooting the system, it does not work and we have to call Support.

Easy to use, but less downtime would make it wonderful!

Clinical part is much better than the billing one. The system is easy to use, till now did not crash and if any sort of maintenance is being performed, they will let you know.

Lots of glitches in the billing part, insurance information cannot be updated easily. The information in the system can be easily deleted, billing notes can be deleted, e-claims can be deleted.

Only the clinical side is better, billing side is just absurd.

We really like the system it is very user friendly and easy to learn. Apart of learning the system how to use the features it is very easy to navigate through the software.

Finding patient medical history is bit tricky. There were an option to look all your previous patient data but after the update this option has been removed from the software. And there are some unnecessary mandatory option which should be exclude as well.

The ease of use this system without being overly frustrated is the one of the best pro in practice velocity emr. There are very clear and descriptive function in the system which make it more easier to understand the software.

The system is bit tricky for the beginners. If you are not very good at computer and software use, this system could be intimidating. Mostly you have to call the vendor’s support and address the problem. 

The system is very quick understandable, that every time there is an issue I can hold someone right away.

The system is quite slow and irritating. Whenever I am typing, open a chart or editing any chart it takes a lot of unnecessary time to open. The font size is too small and difficult to read. When we need to lab order we just can’t order without pop up window, we have to test before sending the actual order.

The support team is very quick and responsive. They are always available with happy face and ready to solve the issue to keep our day smooth. Their VelociDoc system is very good and meet all of our requirements.

The system has very less customizable features for a solo practice. There are many beneficial features in the software if the upgrade they dedicate them for the practice specific. The CPT should be embedded in the supplies and selection it would amazingly help for the billing side. 

Their VelociDoc program is very beneficial. Our front desk staff is very happy with that. It is very easy to use in multitasking. There is no doubt the vendor is very client oriented and their first goal to satisfy their client.

Before Practice Velocity, we use “dummy codes” in the PVM for fee schedule. But Practice Velocity does not accept that. If they could enable us to use it as before it would be a great help to us.

The software really speed up all your clinical tasks which front desk and all staff really appreciates as they can focus on their other tasks

In some of the situation it is very easy to use dummy codes but this system does not allow you to enter dummy codes

The software is user friendly and runs smooth without crashing out or freezing. It lets you do what you want to do

Your notes can be deleted by literally anyone and before the claim is sent to the secondary payer the system deletes your primary care information

The software is so well integrated with the labs and I am totally amazed at the support they provide you

I would like to see Practice velocity introducing a software specialized for Primary care as well !!

User friendly software which enables to store patients data such as birth, marital status, Social security number etc for a long period of time

There is a danger of losing information in the middle of running the software as it gets slow and quit..

The software's dashboard is easy to navigate and it does not require to put in alot of text. Accessing their screens is relatively easy process.

Its not user friendly at all. Just to prescribe I have to click on many different screens and just to discharge a patient have to enter password so many times..
